Hilarious Video: AZ GOP Absolutely DESPERATE

We've all heard of grasping at straws, but how about grasping at "literature"?

The Arizona Republican Party has accused Goveror Napolitano's campaign of (I'm not exaggerating here) walking into the GOP State Party HQ, stealing the key of a storage bin outside, walking to the outside storage bin, using the stolen key to open the bin, going into the bin and opening one of many bags of bundles literature, stealing TWO pieces of 181,000 pieces of literature, locking the bin back up, walking back into Party HQ, returning the key to the outside storage bin, then delivering the stolen goods to the Democratic Party - all while avoiding the suveillance cameras setup in the parking lot and leaving NO FINGEPRINTS.  Fancy huh.

So the GOP dusted for prints revealing that only GOP staff prints were on the bin, yet still held an accusatory press conference.  Yup - Hilarity ensued.

The big NBC affiliate covered the story as basically a joke, head over the hump for the HILARIOUS video and my thoughts.WATCH THE VIDEO BY CLICKING HERE

There are some real gems in this video.

First, it is awesome how the news team overlays the Law & Order intro - setting the whole story up as a joke.

I also love how dramatic the GOP spokesman is - holding up the bag the TWO PIECES OF LIT WERE STOLEN FROM and decrying all things Democrat.  Then -- the best question by a reporter ever:

The only fingerprints on there are apparently yours. Why shouldn't we believe that you just staged this whole thing `cause your gubernatorial candidate is 40 points back?

Classic.

The Dem chairman has some good zingers too in response:

If they're dusting for prints it's not a far cry from them getting out their CSI: New York play kit

Wow -- the Republicans are SERIOUSLY desperate in Arizona.  And I am loving EVERY MINUTE OF IT.
